Trade Choices

Good Evening!

I have been told "off the record" that I will be receiving a call soon in regards to an offer.

My first two choices are: Electrical Distribution Tech and then Electrical Generation Systems Tech. The offer I will be given is for my number two choice. At the beginning of this process I thought I would be happy with either but now I am really leaning toward my first choice. When I do get the call though if I decline because I want to wait will that be considered rude? Will I not be taken seriously?

The contract lengths for those trades is 9 years, you need to be sure that you will enjoy the trade that you enroll as. 
If you decide to decline EGS Tech it won't be considered rude.
