Hi,

I've recently been accepted into the Westminster infantry regiment.  I was hoping to make the January city BMQ, but was told that I may have missed the deadline, and will have to go to CFB Wainwright for the condensed BMQ SQ and infantry modules....ok....so my question is....until Wainwight, what will I be doing as far as duties and training while in depot?
Also, they keep saying "depot"  <---is that right? lol

Thanks
Krieger

Well, your "depot" is probably along the same lines as a PAT (personnel awaiting training) platoon. At my regiment, the PAT guys are learning basic drill, doing PT, learning regimental history, and other basic things. They are not allowed to go out on exercises with us, and are kept on PAT platoon until they have finished their SQ and are qualified to do section-level training.

Your regiment could be different, ask whoever is in charge of you what you'll be doing if you can't wait.

Also, do a search for "PAT platoon", there's lots of info on this stuff.
