Is anyone here In the Edmonton Infantry reserve regiment? Any pointers for joining?

Contacting the Regiment directly is probably your best bet.

Yes, I'm a member of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment (Infantry Reserve in Edmonton). The best way for you to find out information about joining the Regiment would be to stop by the armoury on a Wednesday night. Pretty much everyone should be in most Wednesdays and there will definitely be someone you can talk to. Show up around 1900, may have to wait a bit depending on what's going on that night. It's the Jefferson Armoury located right between NAIT and the City Centre airport.
