Possible Application Issue?

I'm in the process of applying to the Army reserves and just stumbled across these forums today. I've been finding the information very useful so far but I haven't seen anything that relates to the question that's been worrying me. One of my reasons for deciding to join the military is the fact that my boyfriend was killed in action in Iraq several months ago. =( I'm assuming this is an issue that would cause the recruiters some concern, but is it something they would turn me down over?

Firstly, my condolences for your loss...

None the less... this isn't a reason why your recruitment process woudn't continue. You have to want to join for your own reasons also. You have to want to do it for yourself. Good luck with the recruiting process.

It may be noted as a questionable motive to join. Expect some extra questions about it in the interview.
