I was wondering if we where allowed to post poetry here?, I quite poetic and lately I have wrote quite a few and I just wanted to know if anyone would object to it?

Well I am not the authority to give you permission but a good start may be to consider "spell check"...when you are trying to market something...presentation is of the most importance  :D

hi there well this one is my favorite,
Have you ever listened to a soldiers song?
The crys of pain when the world went wrong?
Have you looked into a soldiers eyes?
The tears of steel that could never cry?
Have you ever heard a soldiers shout?
Above the battle sounds, into the clouds?
Have you ever seen a soldier die?
have you ever wondered why?
do you sleep in peace each night?
Or are bombs dropping left and right?
From the corner of your eye, can you see?
The blood of soldiers setting you free?
Doctors, lawyers or bankers, they may not be,
but the work that they do its for you, its for me.

regards snowy :)

A thought to a Soldier....

This world is selfish for you and me,
Each moment is a journey for you and me.
New paths for every new journey,
We dream to sore when we look towards the blue skies,
And on our next path shall overcome all obstacles,
And there shall be light after darkness falls,
We shall greet happiness with arms wide open.
Why did this tragedy fall upon you,
Why did the wind blow away the light of faith,
Look at this world so much greed, politics, guns and roses on graves.
This saddens and brings tears to my eyes,
When I recall how you fought for peace and saving lives,
How could anyone sit here and drink these warm tears.
The wall of sadness, the chains of unhappiness will not stop this world to move on,
Still with all this pain,
I shall fight for peace till the end, with new faith this heart moves on,
And stands besides the Soldiers with the courage to fight and fall.

cheers snowy.

good poems.... you inspired me to post the poem I wrote during a ruck march in meaford this summer... edited for expletives

My line of pain is long and green
We stop we kneel so we're not seen
-
with a full up ruck strapped hard to your back
every click's a heart attack
-
step it out the IC yells
it's a fine army day in my personal hell
-
we're dressed to kill and bombed up good
and we're coming through your neighborhood
-
4 a night and 20 a day
3ish meals and p$$$ poor pay
-
there's pain in my back and pain in my legs
and I'll kill the next $%&*#$ who offers me eggs
-
but I'll never stop and I'll never say no
and when my body drops my mind will scream go
-
because someday soon I know I'll be
hardcore Canadian infantry
-
my feet are raw, my body bleeds
I see my blood, my blood is green.

and just for jokes this is an ill-crafted parody of "walking in memphis" by lonestar

Put on my combat boots and I boarded the plane
touched down in the land of the RCR's
In the middle of the pouring rain
Honour discpline duty... and integrity
Thought I was a first class troop
and then we started PT

But I'm walking in Meaford
I'm tripping in the tank rutts in the field
Walking in Meaford
Can ankles really feel the way mine feel?

Hullicanted Elvis
While up on stand to
followed him with my rifle sight
until the arty sim went "boom"
now the op for didn't see me
when I recced them that night
I saw some lmg's and an apc
and thought man we're in for a fight

But I'm walking in Meaford
I'm tripping in the tank rutts in the field
Walking in Meaford
Can ankles really feel the way mine feel?

They've got potatoes on the table
There are charges in the air
and the csm be glad to see you
when no one answers your prayers
you still wake up in Meaford

Now Warner wrecks morale
every second morning at 5
and they run us to the bottom
and we try to stay alive
do our little number
and we breath with all our might
we say
"every day sucks that much more"
and are we ever right

But I'm walking in Meaford
I'm tripping in the tank rutts in the field
Walking in Meaford
Can ankles really feel the way mine feel?
