I am confused about the equipment.

From what I have read about equipment I have become confused. I thought that everyone in the army gets all the same gear but from what I've been reading it's like some people mite get different gear then others.

An example of this is the other day I was reading a topic about some people gettting "gortex" gear and others don't have any?

you dont get inssued your gortex until you have been in the forces for 1 year...or you have completed your QL3 training
