My grandmother is looking for ANYONE who was serving with my Grandfather John Mitchell (B149250) during WWII. We would like to know if there is anyone out there that knows of an incident where John Mitchell had to be removed from his tank due to hitting a land mine. We are asking for help due to medical reasons and any help would be grately appreciated.

We are not sure which country this incident happened but he was in England, France, Holland and finally Germany.

I unfortunately do not have any information re Mr. Mitchell but as my birth name was Spracklin from Toronto I wondered if we are remotely related . Any reply would be greatly appreciated.
