Canadian troops assisted two NATO soldiers wounded in a roadside bomb attack in southern Afghanistan Monday.
The bomb hit a convoy of soldiers in Sanzary, near the Panjwaii district.
A spokesperson for the Canadian Forces said the wounded were not Canadian. They are believed to be American.
Canadian troops in the area secured the bomb site and helped bring the wounded soldiers to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition isn't known.
Militants often use remote-controlled explosive devices in their fight against foreign and Afghan security forces.
More than 2,000 Canadian troops are serving in the southern Kandahar region of Afghanistan. Forty-four soldiers and one diplomat have died since the mission started in 2002.
