One of my fellow contributors at The Torch attended the Minister's speech at The Albany Club in Toronto this morning, and has put a piece up about it here: http://toyoufromfailinghands.blogspot.com/2006/11/hon-gordon-oconnor-pc-at-albany-club.html

Have an invite to hear the MND at the legion next Thursday evening. Somewhat partisan crowd.

Checked Gov't of Canada, DND, Canada in AFG, and Conservative Party web page, but couldn't find any links to the text of the string o' speeches Minister O'Connor is doing this week.

Any links appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This link may help.  (You may already have it though.)

Knew about Spotlight - I was hoping someone had seen links with the full text of the speeches, like this one Minister's Speeches

Oh well, I'll keep hunting, and will share when found.

Thanks!

Well, his archived speeches can be found here:

I'm thinking that his upcoming speeches won't be posted until after they are delivered to their intended audience because they are still subject to change up until the moment they are delivered.

That's the link I listed in my previous message - I guess you could be right re:  posting of speeches (although I've seen speeches up pretty darned quickly after they're given).  A caveat they tend to include on speech texts (I do when I write them) is "Check Against Delivery" - that way, there's no guarantee it's a verbatim transcript.

Bigmac - tried there, too, but Hansard's only good when the speech is made in the House of Commons or the Senate.

I guess I'll just have to wait - thanks everyone for your help!
