I was not shocked when I heard this and I don't think the "entertainment" industry will miss her too much, except for the advertisers for diet potions.  I thought it was quite the euphemism when a radio announcer described her as an "actress/model."  Really?  ???

Though never a fan, I do feel somewhat sorry for her: she was going through the paternity thing in referenc to 6her  month old daughter, lost her 20 year old son 3 days after the birth of her daughter; was being sued for the diet thing; and more. Did she deserve any of it? Maybe, maybe not; but I wouldn't wish her troubles and life on anyone. Hopefuly (very) soon the media will let it die and what's left of her family can carry on. Her innocent daughter will probaly eventually have to live with the BS and stigma.

Why we care about Anna Nichole....

Every man who wore the uniform in the  early 1990's can fondly recall her.
I remember the first time I saw her. She arrived on Ex in the form of a monthly work ticket via the CQ, who had the bright idea of putting work tickets in various porn mags. His idea was inspired because he was amazed at how a monthly work tickets could get destroyed in as little as a week yet a 10 year old skin mag survives a major ex in pristine condition. So he came up with this viable solution. Worktickets in the porn.

I would park my ML and then go off to the blue rocket, paperwork in hand. Squeeze off a few knuckle children ,it was the only thing that took my mind off of the fact that I hadn't showered, i was tired and I hated my job etc etc......  all thanks to Anna Nichole....

So why do we care about her.
because she was there.....she was naked....she fufilled a need.

Speaking of which I still have that mag ...I wonder how much I can get for it on eBay......I can't yank to it anymore that would be necrophelia

I'm just wondering what category she fell into? Granted, she was in Playboy but how long ago was that?  In most of the pictures I had seen of her in recent years, she looked grotesque!! And I'm not saying that just because I'm female.  I mean gravity would have eventually pulled those puppies to her knees!

Two friends and myself were sitting at a little beach bar about 6 weeks ago and Anna Nicole Smith,Howard Stern and the Bahamian Immigration minister were sitting about 10 feet away at another table...we were the only people there. They hung around for about an hour until just after sunset, so I got to get a real good look at her.....her face, up close, in a casual setting were very disappointing,her body was nothing special at all....and she had absolutely no butt.    Top that off with the fact that the poor girl was a walking disaster area and that everything that she touched turned to sh*t and I fail to see why so much media time and bandwidth is spent on her.
Its sad that somebody so young died and perhaps even sadder about her baby ...but thats life...and death.

I first heard about this in the CP about 0010hr this am Baghdaddy time. Yes on CNN!

Honestly, am I suprised? No. I believe her lifestyle did her in, and money can buy you lots of things, not happiness, but lots of drugs and booze.

In my view she was nothing but an obnoxious gold digging tart.

She lived a fast life and paid for it.

In most circumstances, anyone's life lost a at 39 is a tragedy. Her's was self induced.

Life is what you make it, we all have to be careful, because we are only 'issued' with one.

She is now just another headline, just another statistic, and a new born baby will never know it's mother.

I'll do a 'wait out' til the autopsy is in.

I watched a couple episodes of her reality show once, and my god, she was almost the dumbest person who ever lived (I know a few who beat her out , but not by much). On ET last night she was going on about how her 5 month old baby talked, I think it was more likely the voices in her head she was hearing. It's sad that she's dead, but the world will go on.
