A new Army Brat

Hey!
I joined the army reserve and was sworn in in December.
I started my BMQ here in Windsor with the Windsor Regiment (RCAC)
My uncle in the Windsor Regiment RSM and my Aunt in an MCpl in the regiment.
My father, (retired) Was with the regiment as well, and also the 8th Canadian Hussars, and 1AMS (air force) in Cold Lake, AB.

I was born and raised into the military, my grandfather (ret.) a former Major in the air force, and my mother a former infantry for 3 years.
I spent 8 years of my life on the 4 Wing airbase in Cold Lake, AB, until my father was forcibly discharged for medical reasons regarding his back.

Now, 5 years later, I've started my own journey in Armoured Reconnaissance with the Windsor Regiment (RCAC).
Aftermy BMQ I leave in late June to Meaford for my SQ and DP1...

But the one thing that is overwhelming is being away from my family for so long...

I'm just wondering what it's like being away all summer... anyone know?
