At this point a Junior HT is on RAT. Learning HT systems and on his off time working on a roundsman package. A junior stokers only job is a roundsman package. How can senior personnel look them in the eye and say this is fair and I agree with this? Like I said ground level on a new platform...

Most of the stokers are fine with it.. I mean nothing’s changed for them. They might get landed for a helo crash course or to learn welding. Nothing to be upset about. You’ve got a MS HT whose now section base 3 IC the senior fire fighter, hull shop master and reports to OD stoker on his off...

Agreed but lots of good people and skills lost in the process that could have been avoided with some forsight and better planning/ leadership.

I'm assuming you're an OS. If so you'll be in Nelles block. What it's like can only be experienced. You're in for a treat. you'll most likely have 1-3 roomates. Yes you can have Internet in your room. It's cheap 20 bucks a month. There's also free Internet connection outside the galley.
