Will we ever get our ML‘s back?

So now that our ML‘s are grounded indefinatly for ‘saftey reasons‘, are they ever going to repair them? I‘m not a driver, so I really havn‘t been paying too much attention to this, but I heard the new driver wheel courses are only qualifying people on the Iltis.

My understanding of the problem is that they only require new rims which are in the process of being purchased and should be on the way soon. As well it is worth noting that while they are all grounded, MLVW‘s can still be used for operational /other requirements at the discretion of someone higher up on the food chain then myself.

I was over at 3 RCR today, and they (or what‘s left of them with the battle group gone) are putting them together as we speak. One of the Maint guys said that it‘ll take months, but at least the things are now defintely in the system.

so the reserves will probably get them in 2 years?

The majority of the MLVW fleet should be operational again by Sep-Oct.
