RE-Enrollment, Trade qualified into a reserve unit of a different trade

I would like to know if it is possible to re-enroll into a reserve unit of a trade other than my own.

The reason is based on geography. 

Situation would be a trade qualified InfO applying to enroll at a Military Engineer reserve unit, for geographical reasons. 
I knew of a SigO serving as an OpsO in an  ResF Inf unit in the past, but don't think that happened during a re-enrollment. 

Not sure how this works..
