Did the CAR do any special training that the other infantry battalions didn't?  Other than parachuting of course. Also, before the CAR was disbanded, could you enlist in the Army and be guaranteed training for CAR (like with the American Rangers) or did you have to be part of an infantry...

The aptitude test was pretty easy IMO.   I qualified for every trade, but I still wanted infantry more than anything, so I chose that.   The PT test was what I've been worried about, as I am not in great shape.   We did the Step Test first.   We did Level 5 for the first 3 minutes and Level 6...
