OK, so, I thought I was done the fiberglass work...turns out that was a pipe dream. While the hull looks really really good after priming it, there are also a few flaws that showed up...so, more sanding, more resin...we'll see how this goes.

And here's the after workshop section as printed and fit to the ship. Still some work to do - I need a fresh jar of white paint to do some bulkheads, but this gives the general idea. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out!

The only 'worthwhile' conversion kit for a rifle platform is a .22 insert in my opinion and experience. Reduced template. Reduced recoil. Reduced cost. Reduced noise. Similar accuracy at reduced range when targets are scaled. Similar weapons handling drills so few if any training scars...

Simple is very important. The execution is fairly easy. The 'hard' part is shaping the attack so that it comes from the direction I wish it to. :-)

Buy some HIMARS, design a module of the same size/shape/weight that can be used for training/logistics purposes, but only fires the 2.75" sub-caliber rockets. Like we used to do with the FN's and the .22 kit, or the LAW and the sub-cal rocket, or the...etc.

As a CPO2, and having proven somewhat...versatile....they tend to give me some latitude now. As mentioned, setting something up so that the training goal is met for evaluation purposes, then adding something 'extra' into the mix is a good plan. I'm pondering this fall to see if I can pull...
