Russia in the 21st Century [Superthread]

Typical of The Gulags that still exist.

THiS is the Russia that never really went away. The only difference being a new kind of “royalty” - dictator- rules.

Well it was only a matter of time. I guess the prison has no 2nd story but that hasn’t stopped people from falling out of windows on ground floors in Russia.

The CNN documentary on Navalny is worth a watch.
Honestly he wasn’t much better than Putin, as he was an ultranationalist, that also supported the invasion of Ukraine. IMHO the world is probably a better place with him gone, just wish Putin would keel over and die sooner than later too.

Aleksei Navalny Dies: Outspoken Figure’s Death Deprives Russia of Leading Opposition Voice

Man, who would have thought converting most of your eligible work force into corpses would be terrible for domestic production.....
Classic Russian strategy, they did it in WWI as well.

WWI they conscripted everyone of a certain age with no exemptions based off skill sets. The result was conscripting most the rifle manufacturers in the country greatly decreasing rifle production when they needed it most. By time they realized what they did most those workers were dead and couldn’t be returned to the factory.

Who knows, maybe they will put women in all these industries like we did in WWII. Bring back the Soviet gender reveal ‘It’s a worker’.
